Scouting is a whole new world for many boys and their families.  We hope to make your adventure a positive one.

For joining Pack 457, you will need to do the following ( Details are below ) 

1. 1. Fill online SA Application
   2. Fill the Pack Specific Google form 
   3. BSA Medical Form (Part A & B only for Cub Scouts) ~ NO doctor signature required!. Hard copies are required, please DO NOT scan / mail them.

You will then need to head to Bethesda downtown and visit the Scout Shop to pick up a uniform and handbook for your son.   Don’t worry, the staff at the Scout Shop know what you need to get to be a member of Pack 457. I recommend getting the shirts with pre-stiched ncac and pack 457 patches. Else you should consider purchasing badgemagic from scout store so that you can easily put the patches. 

Once you have your uniform and patches, you are done and ready to attend the pack / den meetings.

The pack will provide all new incoming scouts with a Class B ( yellow shirt ). Additional shirts can be purchased at a Pack meeting.

We have prepared a Parents Handbook which will help you get with most of the questions.

Have additional questions? At each meeting a member of the Pack 457 Committee will be at the meeting to help you out.

2025 – 2026 Forms

Following items are required for completing the registration

New Scouts Registration

• • Complete Youth Application and pay the SA Fees
  • Fill in the Google Forms application & pay Pack dues  via venmo or check  ( no cash please ) at a Pack meeting or at the Annual Kickoff ( see detailed below )
  • Total annual Dues – $265 or $280 ( See Dues Details ) plus a one time $25 dollar joining fees

      • Annual Pack Dues – $100
      • New Membership Fees ( One time only ) – $25
      • Scout Magazine ( Optional Recommended one per family ) – $15
      • BSA Council fees – $80
      • BSA National Fees – $85

Returning Scouts Registration

• Please fill Pack Google Online Form
• Pay Pack Dues – $100
• When you get an email for renewal from my.scouting.org, please renew online
• Fill in the BSA Medical Form (Part A & B only for Cub Scouts) ~ NO doctor signature required!. Hard copies are required, please DO NOT scan / mail them. Hand over to Cubmaster or the committe chair at a Pack / Den Meeting.
